因为建水库，1992年12月树元口管理区分出一部分，另设古峒管理区，1999年7月起写作古洞村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，古洞村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
