地名由来与沿革[edit]
相传村中曾经营布料手工业，村内又有一口大水塘，村名由此而来。[1]解放后设横畲大队，1963年横畲与塘布合并为“塘横大队”，2000年两者分开，塘布沿用原名。[2]街道概况称塘布村为市级文明村。[3]
