霞涌村是霞涌街道下辖的行政村，因靠近霞涌圩而得名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村民委员会于1999年按广东省关于理顺农村基层管理体制的通知，撤销原管理区后设立[1]。霞涌村和霞涌社区的沿革相同：1953年土改后称霞涌乡，1958年冬成为澳头公社的一个大队，1983年与霞居、霞新两个大队合并，1988年地方改称霞涌镇[1]。
