霞涌社区是霞涌街道的社区，居民委员会设在霞涌圩一带，以圩得名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网的沿革是：新中国成立前，这里是惠阳县二区澳万乡的霞涌村；土地改革后的1953年，改称澳头第8区的霞涌乡；1958年冬成为澳头公社下的霞涌大队，1980年隶属霞涌公社。1983年，霞涌、霞居、霞新三个大队合为一个乡；1988年起设霞涌镇和霞涌居委会，名称延续下来[1]。

荣誉[edit]

霞涌社区在2017年10月领到「第一批广东省卫生村」的称号，授予单位是广东省爱国卫生运动委员会；2024年12月，社区又进入「惠州市2024年度绿色社区」名单[1]。
