2016年7月，金晖居委会撤销，改设金源居委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，金源社区列入2020年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2024年12月评为惠州市2024年度绿色社区；到2025年11月，又在广东省未来社区（完整社区）建设试点名单中出现。[1]
