名称由来[edit]
据村里的说法，祖先从韶关南雄迁来建村，当时人少地多，大家勤耕苦种，团结和睦。解放前这里叫荆让乡，解放后改称江和乡，取“江山和谐”的意思[1]。资料把迁居时间写作“清嘉靖五十年（1513年）”，朝代与年份对不上，这里不取具体年份[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1958年为江和大队，1987年为江和管理区，1998年设村民委员会。2005年，卓善、佛仔塘两个村民委员会并入江和村民委员会，名称沿用至今[1]。
地理与经济[edit]
村域面积14.5平方公里，下设37个村民小组，人口5230人（资料未注明年份）。村在平原地带，以种植农作物为主，鱼塘养殖尤其多，出产四大家鱼，也有一定规模的肇实种植。2019年9月，村进入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」2018年度创建单位名单[1]。
老泗塘村[edit]
老泗塘村是江和村下的村庄，按生态旅游村的规格建设，乡村旅游项目规划面积约622亩，涉及对老泗塘村、佛仔塘的青云纪念馆，以及卢屋村村口至佛仔塘的305村道进行升级改造[1]。2020年，老泗塘村被列入第二批「全国乡村旅游重点村」名单；村里的清心雅园集民宿、园林、茶艺和公共书屋于一体[2]。
