金装社区是金装镇政府驻地所在的社区，居委会管辖17个村民小组，人口5400多人。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

因当地盛产黄金，得名金装。[1]其前身1950年为农业协会，1953年为合作社，1958年为生产大队，1985年称乡人民政府，1987年定为村委会；2002年3月起，因是镇政府所在地，改设居委会。[1]

经济与社会[edit]

社区居民多数务农，年轻人大多外出打工；山地以生态公益林为主，水田种稻谷和花生，禽畜由农户零散饲养。[1]百度百科另载，社区推行「退二进三」，引导工业企业转向商业与居住开发，并于2022年办起150亩优质辣椒订单农业项目。[2]2026年1月，金装社区获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
