日光村是封开县白垢镇的行政村，在镇东北部，离白垢圩3.5公里，辖10个自然村，有320多户、1640多人，是典型的山区村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，初级社以前，日光包括扶塘、上垌两个大队；相邻的望楼当时叫「太阳升」，取阳光普照之意，这里便取名日光。[2] 1961年成立人民公社，其后1983年改区，1984年设乡，1987年成立村委会。[2]

经济[edit]

全村面积约2.58万亩，含耕地1580多亩、林地20940多亩。[1][2] 以种养为主，沙糖桔、贡柑种植2900多亩，是村民收入的支柱，外地客商也来收购。[1][2]

2020年8月，日光村入选广东省农业农村厅公布的首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单（食用菌）；2023年4月，又名列「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[3]
