白垢社区是封开县白垢镇镇政府的驻地，所在地水陆交通便利，辖12个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里1950年先设乡民会，三年后成了乡人民政府；其后历经低级社（1955年）、高级社（1957年）、生产大队（1958年）几个阶段，1987年定名村委会；到2002年，镇政府驻地的村委会改为居委会，沿用至今。[1] 「白垢」一名，博雅地名网解释为壮语：「白」指口，「垢」音近「沟」，意为河流交汇处的村落。[1]

经济[edit]

社区总人口2590多人，耕地630多亩，山林27780多亩。[1] 当地把沙糖桔作为主打产业，全社区种植2600多亩，同时种植佛手，并在贺江上发展网箱养鱼和肇实种植。[1] 2019年9月，白垢社区被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
