料塘村是封开县江川镇北部、西江边的行政村，距镇政府6公里，2008年总人口1475人。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明万历年间，村里有低丘地被开挖作鱼塘，因称料塘。[1]1958年是农业合作社所在村；1968年与邻村合并，称料塘大队；1983年设料塘乡公所；1987年起改作村委会，沿用至今。[1]

经济与社会[edit]

耕地合计1287亩，水田占925亩，旱地382亩；林地9055亩。全村分10个村民小组，包括红星、车地、竹洲塘、社田琅和大巷冲这5个自然村。居民收入主要来自水稻、蔬菜、高竹和水果，蔬菜供应县城江口。2008年集体收入不到600元，党员42人。[1]2019年9月，该村名列2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
