豆腐坑社区是封开县江川镇政府所在的居民委员会，位于西江边，镇中心地段。[1][2]2008年总人口1257人，分为7个村民小组：孟塘、蛟塘、江新、庄地、蟾蚷口、大马界和二塘尾。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，地名的由来是：当地人爱吃豆腐，有人在这里摆摊，地面坑洼不平，因称豆腐坑。[1]人民公社化的1958年，这里叫新光大队；1970年江川自成一社，改叫江川大队；1983年和裕丰大队并为江川乡，1987年两地分开，此处设豆腐坑村委会；到2002年，镇政府驻地的村委会改成了居委会。[1]百度百科记载的江川镇政府驻地为豆腐坑孟塘村。[2]

经济[edit]

耕地共1486亩，其中水田1142亩，旱地344亩；另有林地7429亩。居民收入主要靠水稻、蔬菜、高竹和水果，蔬菜主要供应县城江口的市场。到2008年，集体收入为5000元，党员35人。[1]
