历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，泰东最初是1958年成立的生产大队；1983年11月公社体制改为乡，1987年起叫村委会，1989年再改作管理区。[1]1998年11月，怀集县政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准在这里成立泰东村民委员会。[1]
