据博雅地名网，清代这里叫金龙，新中国成立初期改叫会龙，1966年曾为红阳大队；1983年起设村委会，1987年改作管理区，1998年11月经县政府批准（怀发〔1998〕20号）成立村民委员会，驻会龙村。[1]
