北市镇是广东省肇庆市广宁县东北部的镇，古称扶溪，东邻清远市清新区南冲镇，北接阳山县杨梅镇，南连江屯镇、螺岗镇，西靠赤坑镇。全镇面积230.24平方千米，2019年末有户籍人口24822人；镇人民政府设在北市圩，因圩镇在扶溪河北岸而得名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

北市古称“扶溪”。清代道光、光绪年间，这一带属拆石铺第三堡所辖地域；1937年（民国二十六年）归扬善乡。[1][2]新中国成立后，这里先后由二区、江屯区、红十月公社管辖；北市公社自1961年起独立设置，1983年秋公社改区，1987年4月区又改为镇。[1][2]

据博雅地名网转载的镇概况，北市镇曾并入原葵洞镇和深坑乡，并合后全镇辖14个村民委员会、1个居民委员会。[3]今辖1个社区、9个行政村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

北市镇距广宁县城45公里，气候属亚热带季风气候。[1][3]镇概况记其属高寒地区，年降雨量不低于1800毫米，极端最高气温35.5摄氏度，最低零下5摄氏度。[3]镇内山地约30万亩，森林覆盖率81%，林木有杉、松、青竹、厘竹等，近年又引种尾叶桉、玉桂、砂白竹等速生丰产林；山溪落差大，建有小水电站。[3]矿产有瓷土、黄金、花岗岩、钾长石等，瓷土和黄金分布在石楼、深坑和北市一带，花岗岩等分布在葵洞一带。[3]

经济[edit]

镇概况称小水电和农、林、牧、副业是主要经济来源，2001年全镇工农业总产值13926万元，农民人均纯收入3403元。[3]近年发展反季节蔬菜种植，也有沙糖桔等作物。[3][2]百度百科记，2019年全镇工农业总产值为2.58亿元，农村居民人均可支配收入约1.23万元，较上一年增长3%。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

螺壳山位于镇东北部，在肇庆市国有林业总场葵洞林场境内，主峰海拔约1339米（博雅地名网记为1338米），有奇石峪、翡翠湖、六层飞瀑等景观。[4][5]山区森林覆盖率约95%，分布桫椤、台湾杉等珍稀植物。[4]解放战争时期，粤桂湘边纵队曾以此山为游击根据地。[4]
