厚岗社区是广东省肇庆市端州区城东街道辖下的社区居委会，由原厚岗村委会改设，位于市、区政府所在的行政中心区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年之前是厚岗村、厚岗乡；其后改作大队（1961—1983年，其中1966年9月至1967年叫东风大队），再依次改为乡政府（1983年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年）；1998年重称村委会，2013年1月15日撤村委会，设厚岗社区居委会。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据当地资料，因村后有土岗，原写作“后岗”，方言谐音，俗称“厚岗”。[1]
地理环境与人口[edit]
原村委会下辖厚岗、渡头、塘尾3条自然村，分7个村民小组、10个经济实体，人口2241人（该页未注明年份）。集体收入已由农业耕作转为物业经营，物业总量11万平方米。[1]
