工农社区是广东省肇庆市端州区城东街道辖下的社区居委会，由原来的村级建制改设而来，辖区内的工农村是其自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

前身是黄岗镇的贵屯大队，1961年至1966年归双东（郊区）公社，1966年11月起叫郊区公社工农大队。此后的建制依次是：下黄岗公社的大队（1974年）、乡政府（1983年）、村委会（1987年）、办事处（1989年），1998年重设村委会，到2011年6月改设社区居民委员会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

“工农”取工农联盟之意：据当地资料的说法，革命时期工人阶级须依靠农民的支持才能取胜，农民也须得到工人阶级的领导才能解放，因此得名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

社区名列2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」，名单于2019年9月公布。[1]
