据博雅地名网转载的资料，社区在1995年经端州区人民政府批准设立；同一页的概况又写作1997年成立，两处年份不一致。[1]

地理环境[edit]

社区地处城乡结合带，辖区面积约0.4平方公里，西起二塔路，北至塔东一路，东临前进路，南抵建设二路，辖街巷11条、楼房46栋。[1]

地名取“杏”与“幸”谐音之意，寓生活幸福美好。[1]
