历史沿革[edit]

此地自1958年起为六谢大队，其后至1983年称六谢乡，再到1987年设村委会，又于1989年称管理区，2005年3月21日实行村改居，成立六谢居委会[1]。

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，社区分40个村民小组，登记1601户，人口6038人，总面积约4平方千米，耕地1000亩；种菜、水稻、龙眼，村民多外出务工，其上一年农村经济总收入为2980万元[1]。

荣誉[edit]

六谢社区于2023年5月被广东省爱卫会评为「2022年广东省卫生村」[1]。
