六运社区在信宜市区南郊，属城乡结合区[1]。传说村里曾有一个木材商，把一批木材分六次运到东镇圩头，村名由此而来[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

此地自1958年起为六运大队，其后至1983年称六运乡，再到1987年设村委会，又于1989年称管理区，至1999年重称村委会，2005年3月21日村改居，成立六运社区居民委员会[1]。

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，社区分16个村民小组，登记1338户，人口5345人，总面积6.5平方千米，耕地1484亩；社区内有30人以上、500人以下的工厂38家，其上一年农村经济总收入为2245万元[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
