解放二社区在信宜市东镇街道办事处的东北角，属主城区，东镇街道办事处即设在这一社区[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

因居委会设在解放路，成立时间晚于解放一，故名解放二；1982年9月设立，初名解放二路居委会，信宜市民政局2005年5月27日批复，将其改为社区居民委员会[1]。

人口[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，社区分8个村民小组，登记3673户，人口14690人[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，解放二社区被司法部、民政部公布为「第八批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」[1]。
