古丁村属高州市古丁镇管辖，在城乡分类中归为镇乡结合区。村名与镇名同源：古时附近是顾、古、丁三姓的集市，先称“顾丁”，后习称“古丁”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

合作化时期，古丁村属古丁高级社；公社化时归新龙大队，至1962年下放体制时另分出一队，立为古丁大队。其后依次变为乡（1983年）、农村管理区（1986年）和村民委员会（1999年），名称始终是古丁。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，古丁村列入2018年度省级「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列；同年10月评为2019年度「广东省卫生村」。2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
