长流村是新垌镇下辖的行政村，村名来自一条常年有水的溪流。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

现名长流村民委员会，自1999年沿用；此前1986年称长流农村管理区，1983年称长流乡；解放前一带称长流水，成立大队后定名长流大队。[1]

据地名由来，这条溪流汇集几条山坑之水，水清且常年不断，当地农田既不易旱也不易涝，因此称长流河。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 长流村以鸡心黄皮入选广东省农业农村厅2021年9月公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。[1]
  • 长流村在2024年1月被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
  • 2026年1月，长流村被评为「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
