1953年设港口乡，其后历经4次易名，1999年设港口村委会，延续至今[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，港口村下设村民小组11个，户籍登记1280户、6800人，总面积6.5平方千米，耕地2800亩[1]。另有表彰：2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2024年1月，获评「2023年全国示范性老年友好型社区」；2024年3月，获评2023年省卫生村[1]。
