电海街道属广东省茂名市电白区，在电白城区之内，2019年由原水东街道析出设立，辖1个社区和3个行政村，面积26.43平方千米。[1][2]第七次全国人口普查时，街道人口为38253人。[1]电白的教育园区、工业园区和建筑业总部都设在这里。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
电海一带原归水东街道管辖。2019年，茂名市人民政府以茂府〔2019〕12号文批复，水东街道一分为三，另设电海、陈村两个街道，电海之名沿用至今。[2][4]当年5月10日，三个街道在电白区大会堂集中揭牌。[2][4]博雅地名网说明，街道取名寓意电白人有大海一样的胸怀，海纳百川，汇聚四面八方的力量。[4]
行政区划[edit]
街道下辖三角墟社区居委会，以及安乐、乔梅、蓝田坡3个村民委员会。[2][4]街道办事处的地址，维基百科和博雅地名网写迎宾大道398号（恒隆新城内），百度百科写民营科技工业园东区6号，后者应是较新的。[1][2][4]
经济[edit]
据百度百科，街道内布局有新能源汽车电子电池管理系统、微型锂电池保护板、智能设备等生产项目，并有水东芥菜种植基地。[1]在茂名市“两轴、两个圈层”的城市布局中，街道处于核心地带，规划背靠共青河新城，建成产城融合示范区，产业上以新能源汽车产业链和电白的建筑总部经济为重点。[1][3]
据网易新闻的报道，电海与水东、南海、沙琅4个镇（街道）已全域创建美丽宜居村成功。[3]
文化[edit]
街道设有综合文化站。2023年起以“书记项目”的名义改造内街、铺设雨污管网；2024年实行网格化管理，居民可由网格员帮办、代办事项。[1]
