地名与沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称，这里地势平坦而多坡地，所以叫坡园村，后来改称坡园居委会。[1]坡园大队在1980年自炮台大队分出；之后经乡（1983年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年）几个阶段，到1992年成为坡园居委会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）：社区分7个村民小组，在册418户、2206人，总面积3平方千米，耕地320亩；种花生、蔬菜、红薯，上一年农村经济总收入600万元。当地的举措包括组织劳动力外出务工，以及建起坡园农贸市场，既增加集体收入，也带动部分人就业。[1]
