地名与沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称，这里靠近大海，树木茂盛，一片翠绿，故名绿海。[1]这个地方在1963年原叫下坡大队，1981年更名绿海大队，后经乡（1983年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年）几次改称，2002年起为绿海居委会。[1]2019年9月，社区入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
