地名与沿革[edit]

博雅地名网称，境内的炮台自然村位置独特、有历史意义，社区因此取其名。[1]这里在1958年是炮台大队，到1980年一分为四，新分出万寿口、扬海、坡园三个大队；其后改乡（1983年）、设村委会（1987年）、设管理区（1989年），1992年起改设居委会，沿用至今。[1]

据博雅地名网（未注明统计年份）：社区分9个村民小组，在册576户、2977人，总面积1.8平方千米，耕地205亩；种花生，以浅海捕捞、网箱养殖和对虾养殖为主要收入，餐饮业为辅，上一年农村经济总收入2300万元。[1]
