站前街道是广东省茂名市茂南区下辖的街道，位于茂名市区东南部，共设10个社区居委会，计有站前、站东、文光、龙湖、新福、朝阳、龙岭、苏上学、高凉南、双山南。街道因茂名站和茂名市长途汽车客运站设在辖区东南角、主干道又从站前经过而得名，1996年由原高山镇的一部分建为街道。[1][2]

街道所在地原属高山镇。1996年11月成立站前街道；另一份概况材料记作1996年12月成立。[1][2]

街道的社区居委会多数原属河东街道：龙岭、龙湖两个社区先归河东街道，到1997年才转入站前街道；新福社区则在2005年划入。朝阳社区的居委会于1995年经茂南区人民政府批复，设在河东街道名下。站前、站东、苏上学等社区在2005年经区政府文件批准设立，双山南社区于2012年设立，接管了原乙烯社区的社区服务站。[3][4][5][6][7][8]

地理环境[edit]

街道的管辖范围，北起双山路以南，南至三茂铁路，西以计星路为界，东到高水一级公路。博雅地名网记其辖区面积约6平方千米；2020年第七次全国人口普查时，常住人口约11.33万，在茂南区各街道乡镇中居第3位。[1][2]

经济[edit]

据概况材料，2006年街道把发展物业作为经济工作的重点，兼办第三产业，全街道三级企业总收入1.98亿元，比上年增长10.6%，税收792万元，增长14.3%。[2]

社区建设[edit]

街道在“六好”平安和谐社区建设上取得进展，站前社区被茂名市民政局定为社区建设示范点。各社区建有志愿者服务队，合计500多人，治安联防队员300多人，并在高凉南、苏上学、站前、龙湖等社区建了供老年人活动的场所。[2]

交通[edit]

茂名站和茂名市长途汽车客运站位于辖区东南角。茂名站原称茂名东站，1991年5月3日投入使用，2016年9月10日更名为茂名站，是深湛铁路和广茂铁路上的二等站；其南站房于2019年10月21日启用，北站房于2022年1月8日启用。[1][9]
