梅逢是吴川市海滨街道下辖的社区，海滨街道办事处设在这里，辖8条自然村，总面积5.2平方千米，耕地330亩[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

居委会驻梅逢村，名称由此而来；博雅地名网的标题另作梅蓬[1]。这里1955年组建高级社，隶覃巴区，1961年改称梅逢大队并入大山江公社，其后在1983年、1987年、1992年相继改称乡、管区、管理区，最后于1997年定名梅逢社区居委会，划归海滨街道[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

居委会共827户，户籍人口4684人；各自然村多为渔村，村民靠出海捕鱼、加工海产谋生，近年又扶持对虾养殖，设小学2所[2]。街道概况另载有8条自然村，如月南、张村、海垄、李屋等[3]。
