历史沿革[edit]
1958年成立上郎大队，1984年迁往最好村设最好乡，1987年2月设上郎村委会，1989年称上郎管理区，1999年定名上郎村民委员会。[1]
革命旧址[edit]
据百度百科，土地革命到解放战争期间，村里出了黄斌、黄雨农、黄彪、黄培桂等革命者；温慎公祠是当年开展活动的地点，芳桂斋占地约800平方米，当年作革命办公地、农会所在，雷州市曾把它列为革命历史遗址，如今只剩断壁残垣；怀德斋有暗层密室，曾是地下活动场所，已被毁平。村民希望修复这些旧址。[2]《纪家镇概况》也把上郎农会旧址列为镇上的古迹。[3]
人口与荣誉[edit]
据百度百科，村人口5013人，耕地3000多亩。[2]2019年9月，上郎村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年1月上了湛江市2020年度文明村名单；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
