历史沿革[edit]
村民原居车板镇的下洋村，明末因海盗猖獗而迁来，依「下洋」改作「洋下」为村名，村委会驻原洋下村。[1][2]
1958年以前属牛乳树乡；1958年人民公社化后设洋下大队；1987年改称管理区，1999年改设村民委员会。[1][2]
人口民族[edit]
据2005年的统计，全村1181户、4186人，汉族约占99%，另有壮族、苗族等；姓氏方面，伍姓约占70%，另有郑姓；村民通行黎话（约占80%）和白话。[1][2]
经济[edit]
耕地共2695亩（2005年），种的作物有水稻、番薯、木薯、芋头、花生、蔬菜、蚕桑和甘蔗；该年粮食产量1634.9吨，渔业产量103吨，经济总收入为905万元。[1][2]
