村委会1992年由下坝村迁到遂六线通往石颈的公路口。^[1]

据2005年的统计，全村933户、3297人，汉族约占99%，另有壮族、苗族等；姓氏方面，胡姓约占65%，李姓约占30%，另有吴、蔡二姓；村民通行哎话（约占98%）和白话。^[1]

耕地共2449亩（2005年），种的作物有水稻、甘蔗和水果；该年粮食产量1485.7吨，渔业产量101吨，经济总收入为765万元。^[1]

村里的土特产有荔枝、龙眼、红橙、木薯。^[1]
