蓬山村属湛江市廉江市，在石岭镇境内，是该镇辖下的行政村，村委会设在蓬山村，下辖11条自然村；2005年全村828户、2936人。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村后有一片茂密的树林，形似凤凰，起初叫凤山村；民国初年村民生活殷实、六畜兴旺，改名蓬山村，村委会驻蓬山村。[1][2]

1939年，蓬山一带成为革命根据地，并成立党支部。此后该地于1957年归石岭公社管辖，1963年起分为蓬山和许村两个大队；1983年设蓬山乡，1987年改称管理区，1999年改设村民委员会。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

据2005年的统计，全村828户、2936人，汉族约占99.5%，另有壮族、苗族等；姓氏方面，陈姓约占35%，杨姓约占25%，另有李、龙、符、伍、许、谭、周等姓；村民通行白话（约占85%）和黎话。[1][2]

经济[edit]

耕地共2380亩（2005年），种的作物有水稻、番薯、木薯、芋头、花生和蔬菜；该年粮食产量1443.8吨，渔业产量57吨，经济总收入为750万元。[1][2]

村里的土特产有甘蔗、芋头、蒜头、尖椒、木薯。[1][2]
