历史沿革[edit]
相传曾有老虎从村边的小桥走过，村民便以虎桥为村名，村委会驻虎桥村。[1][2]
1960年至1975年，以大龙角祠堂为基础组建虎桥大队；1983年设虎桥乡，1987年改称管理区，1999年改设村民委员会。村委会1992年由老池塘迁到石岭圩东升岭。[1][2]
人口民族[edit]
据2005年的统计，全村988户、3849人，汉族约占99%，另有壮族、苗族等；姓氏方面，苏姓约占25%，胡姓约占20%，另有范、温、唐等姓；村民通行哎话（约占95%）和白话。[1][2]
经济[edit]
耕地共2524亩（2005年），种的作物有水稻、水果和薯类；该年粮食产量1531.2吨，渔业产量98吨，经济总收入为710万元。[1][2]
