塘甲村属湛江市廉江市，在石岭镇境内，是该镇辖下的行政村，村委会设在公岭，下辖15条自然村；2005年全村924户、3630人。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1994年，当地遇百年一遇的洪水，大桥河漫堤、武陵水库的灌渠崩口，其中新屋、老村、新坝、大坡等五条自然村的房子两个小时内几乎倒光。香港《文汇报》社与当地政府共拿出近300万元赈灾，帮助这五条村重建；部分村民于1994年迁往牛岭，组成「文汇新村」。[1][2]

塘甲村辖下的新屋村在2023年5月获评「2022年广东省卫生村」，由省爱卫会授予。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

据2005年的统计，全村924户、3630人，汉族约占99%，另有壮族、苗族等；姓氏方面，吴姓和钟姓各占约三成，另有温、沈、罗、尤、郑、邱、赖等姓；村民通行哎话（约占90%）和白话。[1][2]

经济[edit]

耕地共2586亩（2005年），种的作物有水稻、花生和薯类；该年粮食产量1568.8吨，渔业产量30吨，经济总收入为711万元。[1][2]

村里的土特产有甘蔗、芋头。[1][2]
