它是「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布）；国家卫健委老龄司于2021年8月公布它为「2021年全国示范性老年友好型社区」；同年9月，以冬瓜列入第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村。2023年11月它入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村，2024年4月入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单[1]。
