历史沿革[edit]

关于村名，地名资料的说法是：相传村中有一口大塘，塘边草木茂密，常有野鸭来栖，村民因以为名。[2]沿革方面：1951年设野鸭塘行政村，此后1953年称野鸭塘乡，此后1958年为野鸭塘大队，此后1983年改为野鸭塘村委会，此后1986年称野鸭塘管理区，此后1999年复称野鸭塘村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村中种养的有水稻，荔枝产量较多；有石料加工、酿酒、运输等副业。[1]该页载耕地216亩、山地5811亩。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月进入2018年度广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位之列。[1]
