蕉坡村隶属湛江市廉江市的石角镇，是一个行政村，村委会驻丰窝村。[1]据博雅地名网所载，辖7条自然村，542户、2209人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

关于村名，地名资料的说法是：四面皆为坡地，又盛产香蕉，村民以蕉坡为名。[2]沿革方面：村委会设在丰窝村西侧；其后1963年自油房大队分出，此后设蕉坡大队，此后1983年冬改称蕉坡乡，此后1986年春设蕉坡村民委员会，此后1989年称蕉坡管理区，此后1999年改为蕉坡村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村中种养的有水稻、蔬菜、水果，出产荔枝、茶叶和速生桉；有木材加工、茶叶加工和运输等副业。[1]该页载耕地700亩、山地6770亩。[1]
