姑村是下洋镇下辖的行政村，建制始于1961年的姑村大队[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村在1961年成立大队，1984年改为乡，1986年改称村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年起为姑村村民委员会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

姑村入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」（2021年1月）。2023年5月，村内南湾村、乌辉塘村、凤来山村、田头宅村、上湖村、后堀村、李宅村、王宅村、陈宅村和姑村村共10个村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。
