乐琴大队设于1961年，1986年建村委会，1988年称管理区，1999年定名乐琴村民委员会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，村域内有乐琴上村和乐琴下村，村名由此而来。[1]

荣誉[edit]

乐琴村在2019年9月进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。2020年8月，省农业农村厅公布首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」，乐琴村以甜玉米上榜。2021年1月，该村入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」名单。[1]
