历史沿革[edit]
1984年先成立西连小乡，1986年建村委会，1988年又叫管理区，1999年起名为西连村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，西连村被列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会评出2022年的省卫生村，西连村名下的黄宅村、郑宅村、宋宅村、陈宅村、罗宅村、英产村、西挖村、铺仔村、潭星村、三乐村、南村、北村、市北村、边板村、北插仔村、新村仔村共16个自然村获此称号。2026年1月，该村又获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
