历史沿革[edit]

吾良大队由新市乡于1959年划出而设；1983年为吾良乡，1986年为村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年复为村民委员会[1]。

2019年9月，吾良村名列广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；另入选湛江市「全市文明村」（2020年度评选，2021年1月公布）。2023年5月，村内的白银塘村获2022年广东省卫生村称号[1]。
