历史沿革[edit]
1960年，原属海康县客路公社的干塘大队划出一部分，另立虎溪大队，归遂溪县河头公社管理；1983年为虎溪乡，1986年为村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年再设村民委员会[1]。
2023年11月，虎溪村入选广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村；同年5月，村内的牛力湾村获2022年广东省卫生村称号[1]。据河头镇概况，2024年该镇投资1.45亿元、在虎溪村建设1700余亩垦造水田（二期），并规划16个典型村项目，其中8个已竣工[2]。
