历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期隶属遂溪县第二区，1950年建杨柑乡，1958年易名为杨柑大队。1980年杨柑居委会（当时是大队）从中独立；1983年10月与杨柑圩大队合并，改称杨柑乡，1987年为杨柑村委会，1989年更名为管理区，1999年4月起定为杨柑村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

湛江市2020年度文明村评选中，该村于2021年1月入选。[1]

该村于2024年1月被列为2023年度省级民主法治示范村（社区）。[1]
