麻新村是湛江市坡头区麻斜街道下辖的行政村，因由麻斜划出的新区而得名。[1]村里种植麻斜软红米，2020年8月以此品类入选广东省首批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

抗战胜利后这一带归湛江市滨海区，1951年下半年滨海区并入吴川县，改属潮满区，并分为麻斜、麻新两个行政村。1954年撤村建乡，设麻新乡；1958年编入坡头人民公社，称麻新大队；1961年改归海头人民公社。1984年随坡头区成立划入坡头区，1985年设麻斜街道，称麻新村委会。[1]

此后体制屡有变动：1987年原村委会一分为三，成立麻新、张屋、黄屋三个村委会；1989年改为管理区，张屋、黄屋两区1991年并回麻新；1999年管理区建制撤销，恢复为村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

麻斜软红米产于麻斜村与麻新村一带靠海的稻田，2021年4月进入全国名特优新农产品名录第一批。[2]

荣誉方面：村在2019年9月被列为广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位，2021年1月被评为湛江市文明村，2026年3月又被认定为第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇。[1]
