南调村是湛江市坡头区南调街道下辖的行政村，也是街道名称的由来：新中国成立初期，南昌、调高两地合并成立农协会，各取一字，合称南调。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放初年，南昌与调高两地合组的农协会归吴川县第八区管。[2]往后它的名称与归属一路变化：南调乡（1954年）、南调营（1958年，坡头人民公社）；1959年营撤销，辖地划成南调、瑶贯、烟楼三个大队，到1977年又合成南调大队。[2]1985年10月街道成立，南调乡归其管辖；其后叫村民委员会（1987年）、管理区（1990年）。[2]烟楼在1998年7月划出，另设海东居委会，次年南调恢复村民委员会之称，沿用至今。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年9月，南调村被认定为「2022年湛江市文明村」。[1]
