观海社区是湛江市霞山区乐华街道（由湛江经济技术开发区管理）下辖的社区，因辖区内有观海长廊得名[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
2008年以前，这里是原明哲社区的一部分；2008年7月从明哲社区分出，9月18日成立观海社区[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
观海长廊是湛江八景之一的“长廊观海”，国家级三A景区，位于霞山区观海路，免费全天开放，占地约13公顷（一说19公顷）。湛江的观海长廊共有两条，另一条在赤坎区，名为金沙湾观海长廊；位于霞山的这条又称金海岸观海长廊[2]。
荣誉[edit]
- 2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]
