历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初至1958年，岑擎一带属潮满区中平乡；1958年设岑擎大队，1980年改作管理区，1983年成为岑擎乡并归海头区公所管，1999年起称村委会，隶海头镇。村的沿革记2003年撤镇设街后归海头街道。[2]1952至1957年间，它曾与西厅村合为西厅乡的一部分。[3]
经济与建设[edit]
据百度百科，该条目称村域面积约4000亩，耕地约占一半；户籍人口为2520人，共632户，并说它属革命老区。村集体每年纯收入50多万元；近年共花近400万元，建起文化楼和办公楼，修硬底化村道6公里、灌溉沟4000多米，改厕率90%。[1]2008年，它被评为湛江市生态文明村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2022年9月被认定为湛江市先进文明村和文明村；2023年11月入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年1月被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村」；同年3月获「2023年广东省卫生村」称号，4月列入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单；2025年3月获「第七届全国文明村镇」称号。[2]
