新园南社区是湛江市霞山区新园街道下辖的社区，辖区主要在新园路以南，2003年由新园居委会分设而成[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

前身是1995年4月成立的新园居委会，隶属解放街道[1]。2003年重新划分区域，新园居委会分为新园南和新园北两个社区居委会；新园南社区居委会同年划归新园街道管辖[1]。

2019年9月，社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」[1]。
