麻登社区是湛江市霞山区新园街道下辖的社区，前身是1982年成立的第九居委会，2003年划归新园街道[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
社区名来自旧时辖区内一条经营日用百货的店铺街，当时称“麻登仔”百货一条街，后沿用这个旧称[1]。1982年成立第九居委会，次年4月起改称麻登居委会，归解放街道管辖[1]。2003年调整辖区，把原麻登社区拆成麻登、文登两个社区居委会，麻登社区居委会同年由解放街道划归新园街道[1]。
2019年9月，社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」[1]。
